'Helmingham Dell' is an 1830 landscape painting created by John Constable. This work showcases a pastoral view of a dell located in the estate of Helmingham Hall, nestled in Suffolk. The painting features a prominent figure of a young woman, captivating in her red attire, who appears to be about to traverse a small bridge. Displaying rich European Romanticism aesthetics, Constable's rendering technique was an application of Oil on canvas. The artwork seems to trace its origins back to a sketching expedition as far back as in the year 1800 during Constable's first visit to Helmingham.
