The 'Concert of Angels' is a masterpiece created by El Greco in 1608, towards the end of his residency in Toledo, Spain. It gracefully exemplifies the late period of Mannerism (late renaissance) through its elegant, ethereal depiction of a heavenly orchestra. As a religious painting, it centers on a celestial theme, where angels are shown in the middle of a divine concert. The artistry and detail rendered with oil on canvas evokes a sense of otherworldly spirituality and mysticism. It is currently exhibited at the National Gallery in Athens.
