The Self-portrait by Salvator Rosa is an undated Baroque painting created most likely during his stay in Florence between 1640 and 1649, though some suggest it was painted in the early 1660s. The work showcases Rosa's intense self-awareness and mastery of dramatic lighting and expressive detail typical of the Baroque style. It is housed at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Strasbourg, France, having been donated in 1987 by collectors Othon Kaufmann and François Schlageter, along with other Italian Baroque paintings such as Bononi's Saint Sebastian and the Angel.
