Meditation

'Meditation' by Mildred Anne Butler exemplifies her skill in animal painting within a serene landscape. Born and based in Kilmurry, Thomastown, County Kilkenny, Butler was associated with the Newlyn School of painters and often explored Impressionism techniques to capture natural light and mood. Her watercolour and oil works frequently depict animals and rural scenes with a gentle immediacy. 'Meditation' reflects her delicate attention to detail and her ability to evoke a contemplative atmosphere, blending her love of rural Irish life with her Impressionist-influenced style.
