Flag Above White

"Flag Above White" is a compelling canvas that reimagines the American flag through a Pop art lens, blending patriotic symbolism with contemporary artistic expression. The piece emphasizes the flag’s iconic design—thirteen red and white stripes and fifty stars—while employing encaustic techniques to create a textured, layered surface. Its figurative approach captures the national identity, yet the abstraction and bold colors evoke a modern, almost surreal quality. The artwork challenges viewers to reconsider patriotism within a vibrant, artistic context.
